Dust-covered Survivor Jeep on a San Diego desert road at golden hour
San Diego Outpost 01

This is not a rental.
It is an extraction vessel.

Custom-rigged Jeeps built for the Anza-Borrego and the Mojave. No plastic trim. No unnecessary tech. Just raw torque and the clearance to leave the world behind.

The Anza-Borrego Circuit

Our recommended route for Unit 08. A 140-mile loop through technical washouts, sandstone canyons, and high-desert ridges — with the kind of overlooks that make a phone screen feel embarrassing.

Terms & Conditions

Full policies apply to every rental. Complete acknowledgement is captured during booking. A brief preview below.

Driver Eligibility

Renter must be at least 25 years of age with a valid, unexpired driver's license issued by a U.S. state, U.S. territory, or country that has a valid international driving reciprocity agreement with the United States. Renter must have a clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions within the previous seven (7) years and no more than two (2) moving violations in the previous three (3) years.

Insurance Verification

Renter must maintain a personal auto insurance policy with minimum liability limits of $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident bodily injury and $100,000 property damage. Proof of insurance uploaded during verification must clearly show the Renter's name, policy number, insurance carrier, and effective dates. Survivor reserves the right to verify coverage directly with the carrier.

Authorized Drivers

Only individuals who have completed the full verification workflow — driver's license upload, insurance verification, and identity selfie — and been explicitly listed on the rental record are permitted to operate the vehicle. Unauthorized operation of the vehicle voids all coverage and constitutes a material breach of this Agreement.

Vehicle Use Policy

The vehicle is provided for personal recreational transportation and self-guided touring. Renter agrees to inspect fluids, tire pressure, and general vehicle condition prior to each departure and to report any warning lights, unusual sounds, or handling changes to Survivor dispatch immediately.

Prohibited Uses

The vehicle may not be used for: racing, timed competition, or track use of any kind; towing; ride-sharing or commercial passenger transport; driving instruction; transportation of hazardous materials, controlled substances, or firearms other than those legally carried by the Renter under applicable law; or any illegal activity.

Off-Road Restrictions

Off-road driving is permitted ONLY on trails and routes that are (a) publicly designated for motorized use, (b) legal for full-size Jeep-class vehicles, and (c) within the recommended routes provided by Survivor. Rock crawling above class 2 difficulty, sand dune driving, water crossings above tire-hub height, and wilderness area entry are strictly prohibited.

Mexico Travel Restriction

The vehicle is STRICTLY PROHIBITED from crossing any international border. GPS geofencing will trigger an immediate alert and recovery response if the vehicle approaches the U.S.-Mexico border. Attempted or completed border crossing voids all insurance coverage, triggers a $5,000 penalty, and results in immediate rental termination and vehicle recovery at the Renter's expense.

Damage Responsibility

Renter is financially responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement of any damage occurring during the rental period regardless of fault, including but not limited to: body damage, glass, tires, wheels, undercarriage, suspension components, mechanical damage, interior damage, and loss of use during the repair period.

Traffic Tickets & Tolls

All traffic citations, parking tickets, toll charges, red-light-camera fines, and administrative fees incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the Renter. A $50 administrative fee is added per citation processed by Survivor on behalf of the Renter.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle is delivered with a full tank of 91-octane fuel. Renter agrees to return the vehicle with a full tank of the same fuel grade. Fuel returned below full is refilled at $12/gallon plus a $35 refueling service fee.

Cleaning Policy

Reasonable dirt from off-road use is expected. Excessive interior sand, mud, food debris, spilled liquids, pet hair, or smoke odor triggers a cleaning fee ranging from $75 to $250 depending on severity. Biohazard cleaning (vomit, blood, bodily fluids) incurs a $500 minimum fee.

Smoking Policy

Survivor operates a strict NO-SMOKING policy inside every vehicle, including tobacco, cannabis, and vape products. Evidence of smoking in the vehicle results in an immediate $500 cleaning and deodorization fee.

Pet Policy

Well-behaved pets are welcome. Pets must be secured in a carrier or with a vehicle-approved safety harness while the vehicle is in motion. Renter is responsible for cleaning fees resulting from pet hair, dander, or accidents beyond normal wear.

GPS Tracking Disclosure

Every Survivor vehicle transmits real-time GPS location, speed, and driving-behavior telemetry (harsh braking, hard acceleration, impact events, geofence breaches) to Survivor dispatch. This data is retained for the duration of the rental plus ninety (90) days for safety, recovery, and enforcement purposes.

Accident Procedure

In the event of any accident, collision, mechanical breakdown, theft, vandalism, or law enforcement contact, Renter must: (1) ensure personal safety and contact 911 if injuries exist; (2) contact Survivor dispatch immediately at the 24-hour phone number provided at delivery; (3) document the scene with photographs; (4) exchange information with other involved parties; and (5) file a police report where required by law.

Vehicle Return Policy

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date, time, and location in the same condition as delivered, aside from reasonable off-road dirt. Early returns do not entitle the Renter to a refund. Late returns incur an hourly fee up to a full additional rental day after four (4) hours late.

Electronic Signature Agreement

Renter agrees that all electronic signatures, initials, and consents captured through this workflow constitute legally binding signatures under the U.S. E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. Chapter 96) and applicable state uniform electronic transactions acts, and have the same legal force as handwritten signatures on paper.

Privacy Policy

Survivor collects the personal information, identification documents, insurance documents, and vehicle telemetry described in this Agreement solely to (a) verify Renter identity and eligibility, (b) enforce the terms of this Agreement, (c) protect the vehicle and Renter, and (d) comply with applicable law. Verification documents are stored encrypted and retained for the period required by our insurance carrier and applicable law.
